I finished the other two parts of the dessert this morning, but I’m only going to leak one of them … sable cookies!
They’re ridiculously yummy. And I had the best time hanging out in the Photo Studio this afternoon while Martin and Anne worked their magic to shoot the dessert.
In more exciting personal news, I finally got creative and – with the help of Dad – figured out how to rig a portable AC unit to my window. I have vertical bars on the inside of my windows, which render both window units and portable units impossible to install. But Dad and I put our heads together to figure out how to connect the exhaust pipe to a galvanized plumbing exhaust piece that fits between the bars inside my windows. It ain’t pretty, but it works.

After seeing how cluttered it looked on the inside, I had to move lots of stuff around. It’s better now (not shown), but it’s still not easy to camouflage the eyesore of a big white portable AC unit. Yay for not dying of heatstroke this summer!
